Cambridge Rock Festival
As some of you may have observed, MANNING are playing on Saturday night (8th Aug 2009) 7:15pm (just before Uriah Heep play)
Reports are that the site is a bit soggy right now with more rain expacted today and clearing up for Saturday and over the weekend! (Yeehaar!)
Julie & I decided NOT to camp on site but do the real ROCK 'N ROLL thing of slinking off to the local Travel Lodge!...but, half the band plan to spend Sat night under canvas weathering any storms - bless 'em!
No doubt they will play their little hearts out before retiring to their lake side views - periscope up!
I hope some of you make it
Say hello!

.By the time we got to Woodstock........it was a muddy mire...
CRF - mud and ruts.
Wet with portaloos spilling blue gunk onto the grass. Saturday was the best day
(weather wise) it was damn hot and we walked around alot.
The back stage was well run and we left our gear stacked in our section ready
for the show.
Tinyfish and DeeExpus were great and then it was us. So this was the time that
Laptop number 2 decided it did not want to connect to the firewire audio box...I
rebooted 3 times and then got it working.
We only had 20 mins to change over, simply not enough for a 7 piece!
Sound on stage was pretty dire as the horns apparantly had blown on the monitors
some time before but out front it sounded great (I was told)
We played 75 mins..went down a storm, sold lots of CDs, met lots of nice new
friends and played to a nicely filled tent!
We were happy!
Now for our holiday period...back again in the Autumn
Anybody else got anything to say around here?
