Hello friends of the bearded fish!

We're sorry that we've been kind of bad, ok - terrible at keeping you updated on what's going on with everything.. I have some bad news and some good news, so I'm gonna start with the bad ones first. The new album will not be released during 2010. Yes, it's now a fact (one which I am sad to be the messenger of) that the album will not be ready in time for a 2010, and even more so a september release. The reasons for this are many and I don't wanna go in to details, because.. well I just don't! I can say that there are people among us who are not satisfied with the mixes and I can admit that I am one of them. This is sort of bad, economically.. because we've spent a whole lot of time and money on this album thus far and now we're gonna have to spend some more.. especially time. I started mixing yesterday and so far I'm actually having a pretty good time doing it, which is cool because I thought it was gonna be hell to go back and start over from scratch (yeah that's right, from scratch!) but it feels fun and things fall into place naturally - at least it seems like they are so far (check in again in a couple of days and it maybe a different story altogether!).

We are scheduled to release the album in early 2011. I'm sorry about this, and for those of you who have been waiting for the album, hopefully it's gonna be worth it! Right now Spencer Bowden is working on the artwork and the stuff I've seen so far looks really cool! He's designing a vinyl gatefold sleeve - yeah that's right, this puppy's coming out on vinyl too!!

I guess the good news is that we'll have more time to work with the album and hopefully we're gonna be able to deliver something really special
