Sure, this is the right place...
I bet Rikard will give you what you want if you donate $10 every time the album gets downloaded from your nice little blog.

I think Hugo hit the nail on the spot actually! You know, as much as I like people liking our music and so on, this is in fact what we're trying to make a living from, so NO from me, thanks anyway.

Lawra, maybe you could just post a link to Beardfish's myspace page on your blog, Rikard has placed plenty of samples (and whole songs) on there so your readers can decide if they wish to support the band.

i have it lawra. I think blogs are cool and i have known about many bands because of those sites.
Here it is.... [removed]
By the way, don't tell about your piracy in band forums.

So why do you send her the pic?? Oh well...
I really think Steve should delete this thread...

OK - Here's the deal. I (and I can only speak for me personally) have (and had) no problem with sharing my/our music in blogs or on filesharing sites or whatever in the form that it's intended for, so people can discover it, and later they can make a choice if they like it and want to buy our music or not. But the fact is that most people who download music illegally have no intention whatsoever to buy it on a cd, as mp3's from itunes or something later on, and why would they? They already have it... That's why I no longer encourage it (unless when I put stuff out there myself, and I do, believe me!) and I can't understand why we need another place where people can take our music and give nothing in return?
I love that people can find new music easily on the internet and that it's very accessible - but you gotta give something back to the artist! And the fact is that most people these days think it's OK to just take it, which in the long run is gonna take away a whole lotta good stuff that no longer has any funding.
Progheads in general are very good at supporting the musicians by buying merchandise and so on, and I hope it'll stay that way!
I'm done with this thread now, I think. Or hope. (Probably not though)

I think its time to close the thread!

Rikard has requested that this topic be re-opened so that the band can put their views across.
Please remember that when you joined these forums, you agreed to these rules.

Thanks Steve, I also want everyone to feel that this place is free for you to let your opinions fly...well free, so to speak! And you'll probably get a reaction...

I'm very sorry for what i just did a few hours ago, i thought an image couldn't make such a deal, maybe she is going to post that album in that blog anyway with or without the back cover...
I've never been interested in band forums until now, don't hate me Beardfish.
